With 30 years of dedicated experience behind the kit, I offer professional drumming services—from studio recordings to live performances—and comprehensive, personalized drum lessons for all skill levels.

RHYTHM LEGACY

My musical journey began with a rigorous, traditional drum education, including 12 years of study under local legend, Jim Munzenrider. This foundation allowed me to hone my craft in diverse professional settings early in my career, playing with notable groups such as the El Camino Youth Symphony, the CSM Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Mike Galisatus, and the high-energy SF Panhandlers Steel Drum Band. These connections and early opportunities nurtured an elite skill set and raised my level of professionalism to meet the standards I was surrounded by, something I have carried with me throughout my professional music career.

GENRE & STYLE VERSATILITY

You name it, I play it. As an extremely well-rounded musician, I excel in a broad spectrum of musical styles including Rock, Jazz, Latin, Funk, Orchestral percussion, and Musical Theater. Whether executing complex Latin rhythms or providing sensitive accompaniment and dynamics for a pit orchestra, I bring the right feel and technical skill to every project. 

While my foundation is rooted in classical and jazz expertise, I also have a deep understanding and personal love of alternative music. While practicing rudiments and classical techniques, I was bringing my skills to the local Bay Area band scene as a member of numerous Metal and Hardcore groups. This exposure to various genres allowed me to use my learnings and technical prowess and apply it to heavier, more aggressive styles, tapping into my versatility as a drummer and musician.

PERFORMANCE & STUDIO HIGHLIGHTS

I have extensive experience as a session drummer, having recorded on countless studio releases across diverse genres. My understanding of the recording process is further enhanced by my Bachelor’s Degree in Sound Arts & Music Production, ensuring high-quality, professional drum tracks every time.

I regularly perform in pit orchestras under the direction of Rick Reynolds and other locally-acclaimed music directors in the Bay Area musical theater scene, both main stage and in school theater arts programs.

I have shared the stage with influential artists, including Grammy-winning vocalist Tony Lindsay, master percussionist Michael Spiro, and steelpan legends Ray Holman and Robert Greenidge.
